Diller Teen Fellows is about community. I think I made connections in my cohort that’ll last for years to come. We were able to go into some deeper discussions and some very meaningful discussions on what it meant to be Jewish and what our Jewish identity meant to us, and that’s something that’s very special. Moving from the discussions from my own cohort to those with all these new international people, it’s broadened my horizon because I’m able to meet so many new people from all over and learn about all the different lives that they have. Even though we’re from completely different cultures, we all share that same Jewish heritage, and now I can say that I have friends in Melbourne or Johannesburg or Toronto. This has been a truly one-of-a-kind experience that I don’t think I could get anywhere else.
